For any one who missed Sunday's church-wide meeting, here are the important takeaways shared by the elders.
Giving has increased over the summer! The pastor fund now has about $30,000 in it. We feel this amount gives us sufficient funds for covering expenses related to transition costs and reserves for hiring a full-time pastor. Therefore we encourage increased and continued giving to be directed toward the general fund and building fund.
Pastor Curt walked us through an overview of the pastor search page on our website. The page has been "live" for just over two weeks. To date we have seeventeen applications/enquiries of interest in the position. These come from all over the country--one even from South Africa! Please pray for the search team as we review cover letters, CVs, and each man's two sermon submissions in this first phase of evaluating applicants.
We now have a roadmap for leadership development for prospective elders and deacons. Watch for future blog posts for the details. Please pray for the one man we currently have in the elder and the two in the deacon pipelines as they progress through the phases of the process.
