REFORMATION SUNDAY CELEBRATION

October 31, 2022 marks the 505th anniversary of German monk Martin Luther's nailing of his 95 Theses on the Wittenburg church door.

That event in which Luther sought reform over the Roman Church's sale of indulgences is widely considered the impetus for the Protestant Reformation.

For a helpful synopsis of the significance of the day and why we celebrate it check out this Ligonier Ministries post: "What Is Reformation Day All About?"

As we have done in years past, we plan to devote this coming Lord's Day focus to center on giving thanks for and remembering what God has done. Pastor Eric plans to divert from his 1 Timothy study and preach a text applicable to the theme.

Additionally we will enjoy a grilled bratwurst fellowship meal! TRBC will supply the brats, buns, and sauerkraut. Please bring side dishes to share that reflect a German/Swiss/English fare. For some over-the-top creative recipe ideas click here.

Also, this month Ligonier has made its first-rate documentary on Martin Luther free for the streaming. Click on the video below. Jan and I viewed this and loved it!

See you this Sunday for a great day of worship and feasting!
